Princess Beatrice responded to to a letter from a fan with a personal, handwritten card. Instagram user ‘The Duchess of Wonderland’ revealed she had sent her best wishes to Beatrice and her husband Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi after they tied the knot in July.
Taking to the social media, the surprised royal fan shared a surprise reply from Beatrice, which was personalised and thoughtful.
She said: “Look what the postman brought this morning, Princess Beatrice’s wedding reply.
“I loved this photo so I’m so happy it was used and the card and the message inside is just so sweet and a lovely nod to all those who helped during the pandemic.”
As noted by the royal fan, in her handwritten message Beatrice paid tribute to NHS and key workers.
The eldest daughter of Prince Andrew and Sarah Ferguson wrote: “Thank you so much for the wonderful note you so kindly sent us on the occasion of our wedding this summer at Royal Lodge.
“Edo and I had a magical day filled with special moments with our families.
“We are so grateful to all those who have worked hard to protect our communities over the past few months, we owe them so much.
“Thank you for thinking of us as we begin our married life.”

The card was also signed by Beatrice’s husband Edoardo – but with the monicker ‘Edo’.
Dated July 2020, the card also bears the princess’ letterhead.
Princess Beatrice and Edo married in secret at the Royal Chapel of All Saints in Windsor on July 17.
The couple tied the knot in accordance with the coronavirus guidelines issued by the Government ahead of the summer.

Their handful of guests were all required to socially distance from people outside their households – including the Queen and Prince Philip.

After the ceremony, Princess Beatrice and her new husband celebrated their big day with a toned-down party at the Royal Lodge, her family’s home.
The Queen and Prince Philip were seen leaving the chapel shortly after the end of the wedding.
A few hours later, the monarch knighted Captain Tom Moore, the inspirational 100-year-old fundraiser.
Princess Beatrice recently spoke about her wedding on social media.
The royal, who rarely uses her verified Twitter account, wrote on the platform last week: “Thank you to everyone who has sent in and tweeted their best wishes for our special day in July.
“Edo and I are so excited to embark on this new chapter together.
“It was an honour to wear my grandmother’s beautiful dress on my wedding day, I hope many of you are able to visit the exhibition which is still open at Windsor Castle.”
The young York chose last minute to ditch the wedding dress she had chosen and wore instead a vintage gown designed by Norman Hartnell for the Queen.

Princess Beatrice, who was due to marry in May but was forced to push back her nuptials due to the ongoing pandemic, isn’t the only one who has recently talked about her big day.
In an interview with the Financial Times, her husband and property tycoon opened up on married life.
After admitting the only “object I would never part with is my wedding ring”, Edo said: “I’ve fallen in love with cooking again.
“It’s been the epicentre of our family life and we come together for every meal.
“We are lucky enough to have a small vegetable garden and we cook seasonally.
“Even my son has got involved.”
