Princess Beatrice, 32, tied the knot with Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi, 36, during a low-key ceremony in Windsor on July 17. The couple kept their special day quiet from the public after having to postpone their original plans due to the coronavirus pandemic. While only a handful of photos were released of the occasion fans were enchanted by Beatrice’s wedding dress.
Beatrice wore one Queen’s dresses from the 1960s that was repurposed for Bea’s big day.
The Queen’s head dresser Angela Kelly helped tweak the Sir Norman Hartnell gown to fit Beatrice’s needs.
The stunning gown featured a crinoline silhouette and love of and a hand-embroidered bodice covered in crystals and diamantés which trickled down onto the waist and hips.
The original design was adjusted by Ms Kelly and designer Stewart Parvin to bring it into line with Beatrice’s wishes.

The full-skirted silhouette was softened to give a more contemporary, simplified shape, and the underskirt and petticoats were recreated and bound with silk tulle.
Short sleeves of triple organza were added to the straps and embroidered with vintage diamantés to match the original Hartnell embroidery design.
Beatrice looked every bit the fairytale princess on her wedding day and the striking gown captured the imaginations of both royal and fashion fans.
Where can you see Beatrice’s wedding dress?
The dress is due to go on public display at Windsor Castle from September 24, the Royal Collection Trust has confirmed.
he charity which takes care of the Royal Family’s huge collection of artefacts tweeted on Monday: “HRH Princess Beatrice of York’s wedding dress will go on display at WindsorCastle from 24 September – 22 November 2020.”
The display at Windsor Castle will also feature Princess Beatrice’s wedding shoes, made by Valentino and previously worn by Her Royal Highness on occasions including the wedding of TRH The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge in 2011.
In addition, a replica of Her Royal Highness’s bridal bouquet made from artificial flowers has been created for the display.
The bouquet was designed by Patrice Van Helden, co-owner of RVH Floral Design, and contained trailing jasmine, pale pink and cream sweet peas, Royal Porcelina spray roses, pink O’Hara roses, pink ‘wax flower’ (Chamelaucium uncinatum) and baby pink astilbe, as well as sprigs of myrtle in keeping with royal tradition.

The real story behind Beatrice’s wedding dress
While Beatrice’s dress suited her to a tee, the idyllic gown was not her first choice, according to one insider.
The Princess of York apparently had a last minute change of heart and instead of sticking to her original dress she asked the Queen’s permission to borrow one instead.
Following Bea’s wedding, a source told People Magazine: “Beatrice made a request [to borrow one from the Queen], and that was kindly granted – and it looked amazing! It was touching for both of them.”
With the help of the Queen’s dresser Angela Kelly the last minute switch was made and Beatrice got the wedding dress of her dreams.
