Before the birth of Prince George, the Queen made special allowances for Prince William and Kate, Duchess of Cambridge’s children. Although Prince and Princess titles are usually reserved for children and grandchildren of the monarch, the Queen decided her great-grandchildren born to Prince William would also be allowed the title.
Despite being high in the line of succession, Prince George, 7, Princess Charlotte, 5, and Prince Louis, 2, have relatively normal childhoods.
Over the past few months, the Cambridge family have been isolating in their Norfolk country estate, Anmer Hall.
Kate and William have provided regular updates about the family’s activities during lockdown on social media and via video calls.
The Cambridge children have been spending time playing outside, going for walks and baking cakes – just like any other family.

Kate and William are known to want as close to a normal childhood as possible for their royal brood.
In fact, a source told US Weekly the Duke and Duchess “go out of their way to keep the kids grounded”.
The source said: “While the kids know there’s something special about them, they’re not spoiled.”
But it appears Princess Charlotte is embracing her Princess lifestyle already, and this is reflected in one of her favourite toys.
At school, neither of the children are known as Prince or Princess, or His or Her Royal Highness.
In line with their parents’ titles, the children are known as George Cambridge and Charlotte Cambridge.
Charlotte has also earned herself the nickname of “Warrior Princess” for her adventurous personality.
Royal expert Katie Nicholl told ET: “Apparently she earned that nickname because obviously she is a princess but she is quite a tomboy.
“She loves climbing trees and she’s very much an adventurer.”
The Royal Family are no different from any other family when it comes to personal nicknames for members.
At home, the Cambridge family adorably call Charlotte by the nickname “Lottie”.
Prince George is also known by his initials, PG, or sometimes PG Tips or just ‘Tips’ after the tea brand.
In January 2019 George also told a member of the public while out on a walk that his name was “Archie”, just months before his cousin Archie was born.
The woman told : “Just to be friendly I engaged in a bit of small talk and I asked George what his name was, even though obviously I knew it.
“To my astonishment, he said ‘I’m called Archie’ with a big smile on his face.
“I don’t know why he calls himself Archie but kids often play with their names and I think it’s lovely.”
