Princess Diana began screaming at a party with Prince Charles after he allegedly “disappeared” at a party Camilla, Duchess of Cornwall was at. The Channel 5 documentary, Before They Were Royal, detailed the night where Diana cried out for her bodyguard, Ken Wharfe. He revealed what Diana said to him at the time.
Royal protection officer Ken Wharfe said: “There was this extraordinary atmosphere once we arrived and of course there were the friends of Camilla and her sister.”
Narrator Glynis Barber explained: “Ken Wharfe was Diana’s bodyguard and was there on the night.”
Mr Wharfe continued: “About an hour and a half later, Diana’s voice was heard along the corridor near the kitchen where I was sat.
“She sat shouting my name. She said, ‘I just can’t find my husband or Camilla’.”

The Queen was not accepting of Prince Charles’ relationship with Camilla, the Duchess of Cornwall at the beginning due to the controversy it sparked.
The pair rekindled their romance in the mid-1990s as Charles’ turbulent marriage to Princess Diana came to an end.
Royal expert Katie Nicholl revealed that the Queen would not allow Camilla’s name to be spoken around her.
Speaking on Channel 5 documentary ‘The Royals at War’, Ms Nicholl said: “The Queen did everything she possibly could not to have Camilla’s name mentioned in her presence.
“She believes in the sanctity of marriage and is very disappointed when any marriage goes down the tubes.
“She just didn’t want to see it happen on another marriage where her son was involved.
“It was that that was putting the block in her accepting Prince Charles’ relationship with Camilla Parker-Bowles.”
Charles and Camilla got married in 2005 following years of romance but her position in the Royal Family has caused “some bubbling” recently as the Queen gets older.
