Eugenie and Jack have been among the headlines recently after the couple announced they were expecting their first child together in early 2021. Her father, however, has also gained media attention amid his controversial friendship with disgraced paedophile Jeffrey Epstein. But just before her special day two years ago, Eugenie revealed the one thing that would force her not to speak to Andrew again.
ITV’s ‘This Morning’ host Ruth Langsford, questioning the couple alongside her husband Eamonn Holmes, asked: “What do you think you are going to feel walking down the aisle with your father by your side?
“What do you think will be going through your head at that point?”
Eugenie, now 30 years old, replied: “It’s nerve-wracking and it’s a bit scary. It’s all the things that come with getting married but at the end of the day you get to marry the person you love.”
She added, with her eyes wide with excitement: “You’re going to be at the end of the aisle and I’m going to be running towards you.
“I told my dad, if he goes too fast, I said that’s it, we’re not talking anymore. So I think he’s going to go really slowly – I hope.”
Eugenie, along with her father, mother Sarah Ferguson and sister Princess Beatrice, have all endured a difficult relationship with the media.
Yet, Eugenie and Beatrice claimed their parents had supported them in how to handle being in one of the world’s most famous families.
Eugenie said in a 2018 Vogue interview: “Growing up in the media, it’s… interesting.

They are also known for their friendships with some of the country’s biggest celebrities including James Blunt, Naomi Campbell and Ellie Goulding – all of whom attended Eugenie’s wedding.
But reflecting on those moments, Beatrice added: “It’s hard to navigate situations like these because there is no precedent, there is no protocol.
“We are the first: we are young women trying to build careers and have personal lives, and we’re also princesses and doing all of this in the public eye.”
