Princess Eugenie: Royal experts discuss possible baby names
The Royal Family confirmed the news today and tweeted: “Her Royal Highness Princess Eugenie was safely delivered of a son today, 9th February 2021, at 0855hrs at The Portland Hospital. Jack Brooksbank was present. The baby weighs 8lbs 1oz.”
Now, after being informed of the new addition to the Royal Family, the Queen is believed to be “delighted”.
In a statement, the Royal Family said: “The Queen, The Duke of Edinburgh, The Duke of York, Sarah, Duchess of York and Jack’s parents, Mr and Mrs George Brooksbank, have been informed and are delighted with the news, the palace says.”
Eugenie shared an adorable picture of their hands cradling the tiny fingers and wrist of their baby.
The baby is the ninth great-grandchild for the Queen and Prince Philip and the first grandchild for Prince Andrew and Sarah Ferguson.

The Royal baby is now the eleventh in line to the throne, pushing Prince Edward down to twelfth position.
The baby, whose name has yet to be released, will be the second cousins with Prince George, Princess Charlotte, Prince Louis and Archie.
Last week, royal expert Awena Naomie Ella said the couple may break away from royal tradition with baby names.
She told Express.co.uk: “I hear Arthur and Alice are some of the bookie’s top predicaments.

“But with the modernisation of the monarchy showing up in this generation, is it possible these two young royals might step away from tradition and choose something a little more contemporary without royal precedent.
“Perhaps we will see the likes of Clementine, Emmeline, or Tatiana if it’s a girl, or Torquil, Erastus, Benedict for a son?”
Sarah Ferguson previously spoke about Eugenie’s pregnancy and said her daughter will be a great mother.
She told Us Weekly: “Having not had my own mother around, I’ve always been determined to be a very present mother with my children, and I know Eugenie will be the same with hers.
