This afternoon, she delivered a poignant message stating “better days will return”. The message was also accompanied by four images from throughout the year. She said: “We should take comfort that while we may have more still to endure, better days will return: we will be with our friends again; we will be with our families again; we will meet again.”
Following her message, royal fans were quick to praise Her Majesty for her well-wishes at such a difficult time.
Despite the pandemic dominating 2021, many stated the Queen was a comforting presence.
One person said: “The Queen has been a comforting presence throughout this madness.”
A second said: “Thank you, Your Majesty.
“2021 is the year of positivity & renewed vigour to beat this.”
