Despite the pair confirming their second pregnancy, it is unlikely the 94-year-old monarch will travel to see them in their Santa Barbara mansion. Indeed, their first child has not seen his royal relatives since November 2019 and will need to travel to the UK to do so, royal commentator Camilla Tominey has claimed. Ms Tominey claimed not only has the lockdown impacted matters but Her Majesty and her 99-year-old husband are now too old to undertake such a travel plan.
Due to these factors, Ms Tominey claimed there is “no prospect” the monarch will travel to see the Sussexes.
She wrote in The Daily Telegraph: “With Archie thought not to have seen his Royal relatives in the flesh since November 2019, the pitter-patter of another pair of tiny royal feet also begs the question as to when the Queen and Prince Philip can expect to see their youngest great-grandchildren again.
“At 94, the monarch and her 99-year-old husband no longer undertake long-haul travel so there is no prospect of them visiting the Sussexes at their £11million Santa Barbara mansion.
“That means that Archie, who turns two in May, and his younger sibling would need to be flown over to the UK for any Royal family reunion.”
Despite the arrival of their youngest great-grandchild, it remains unclear what relationship Harry has with Her Majesty will have following his split from the family.
Harry is due to return to the UK for a series of summits in the summer over a year after he and Meghan stepped back from the Firm.
On July 1, he is set to join Prince William at Kensington Palace Gardens to unveil a statue in honour of their mother, Diana, Princess of Wales.
However, insiders claim the Sussexes have not yet set a concrete date as to what events Harry will attend.

They will hold an interview with US television icon, Oprah Winfrey on March 7.
In a statement commenting on the interview, CBS confirmed they will discuss not only their charity work but their departure from the Royal Family.
In a statement, CBS said: “Winfrey will speak with Meghan, the Duchess of Sussex, in a wide-ranging interview, covering everything from stepping into life as a royal, marriage, motherhood, philanthropic work to how she is handling life under intense public pressure.
“Later, the two are joined by Prince Harry as they speak about their move to the United States and their future hopes and dreams for their expanding family.”
Buckingham Palace confirmed it would not comment on the interview.
As Harry and Meghan have now stepped back as senior royals, they no longer need to inform the palace of any upcoming engagement.
