The Royal Family may not be able to celebrate Christmas together at Sandringham this year for the first time in 33 years. The news comes after the Queen and Prince Philip were advised to create a “bubble” at Windsor Castle in order to keep them safe from coronavirus during lockdown.
A source told : “Philip is keen to spend his anniversary with the Queen.
“They spent seven months together in HMS Bubble due to COVID-19 this year and only been apart for a few weeks now.
“It is also seen as a chance for staff at Sandringham to have a break so that they will feel better about working at Christmas.”
They added: “But Christmas is still up in the air.”
However, according to sources cited by , the Palace will not take a decision about Christmas celebrations until the end of lockdown on December 2.
A Buckingham Palace spokesman told the Sun: “No final decision has been taken on Christmas.”
Another Palace source added: “Nothing has been resolved as staff are still refusing to quarantine from their families.
“So it’s looking almost certain they can’t have Christmas inside the big house at Sandringham.
Royally Obsessed podcast hosts Roberta Fiorito and Rachel Bowie revealed a potential theory behind the cover-up.
Ms Fiorito said: “There’s a lot of controversy and people are quite angry at Prince William for keeping it a secret.
“I feel like I get it, it’s definitely weird to not reveal that. But, in doing quite a bit of research, I can understand the reasoning.
