Royal author Angela Levin suggested the monarch would not be happy with the Duchess of Sussex’s investment in instant oat milk lattes – which were promoted by US chat show host Oprah Winfrey on Instagram after Meghan sent her the products. It comes as the Queen is due to review the Megxit arrangements in March.
Ms Levin told Express.co.uk: “If you are trying to sell the royal name for commercial gain, like Meghan has done with the vegan coffee, you are in for a lot of trouble with Her Majesty. She just doesn’t like that.”
Meghan and Prince Harry are starting new lives in the US after quitting royal duties on March 31.
They have swapped their Windsor home Frogmore Cottage for an £11 million mansion in California, where they are living with their 20-month-old son Archie.
As well as Meghan’s investment, the Sussexes have signed lucrative deals with Netflix and Spotify.
Their first Spotify podcast was released last month and featured their young son.
They have also recently launched the website of their non-profit organisation Archewell.
On the outcome of the 12-month Megxit review, Ms Levin said she did not expect the Sussexes to return to the royal fold.
The Queen’s grandson and the ex-Suits star announced plans to step back as senior royals last January.

They agreed to a 12-month review of the arrangements, which is due in March.
A year on from their bombshell announcement, Meghan and Harry are said to be in a “very good place”.
A source said: “After a very turbulent 12 months for everyone in the world and massive changes of moving country and all the rest of it, they have also been very vocal about what they have gone through in their own personal life.
“They have a house. They have created the financial independence that they were after.
“They have launched their organisation and their organisation is under way doing amazing things already.
“And so I think that they are in a very good place.”
Buckingham Palace declined to comment.
