The Queen’s official Twitter account marked Kate’s 39th birthday by sharing a lovely message and two pictures of the Duchess of Cambridge. In the first, Kate is smiling during an engagement she carried out in September last year.
On the day, the Duchess met children part of the Scout Association and carried out outdoor activities with them.
The visit was particularly poignant, coming as Kate had been appointed co-president of the organisation.
The second picture shared by the Royal Family Twitter account shows Kate in the company of the Queen.
The snap was taken during the 2019’s Chelsea Flower Show, when the Duchess unveiled her Back to Nature concept garden.
Kate was honoured to show the Queen around and explain her thoughts behind the concept.
The Duchess has been a vocal advocate for the benefit of outdoor activities on children’s development and health.
The Queen’s wishes were quickly followed by a tweet from Prince Charles and Camilla’s official account, Clarence House.
