The Royal Family has lost an estimated £18million over the summer period from the reduction of tourism, both foreign and domestic.

Movies will be available for people to view with tickets costing £32.50 per car which will be paid into the royal coffers as the house is privately owned by the Queen.

In a statement, the estate said: “Enjoy your favourite movie from the comfort of your car in the wonderful setting of Sandringham Country Park.

“We have selected some great street food vendors to join us at each performance.

“Upgrade your ticket for just £7.50 to add deckchair, table, popcorn and a separate area to the side of your vehicle.”

Sandringham is also due to host other events this autumn including a meet-and-greet with the estate’s head gardener and apple picking.
