A volunteer with Humberside Police and The Royal British Legion said she will treasure a gift from The Queen. The Queen gave 99 Christmas puddings this year to recognise the world of volunteers. This was to mark the Royal British Legion’s 99th anniversary.
Speaking to Grimsby Live about the gift of a Christmas pudding British Legion and police volunteer Carole Tyler said: “There is enough for four people.
“I’m on my own.
“So, I will just keep it.” –
Carole Tyler has served for more than 35 years with Humberside police as a volunteer, she is aged 80.
She has also been a standard-bearer for The Royal British Legion.
The Christmas puddings that were gifted to the Royal British Legion were made by the Royal Family.
Carole was very happy that The Queen and other members of the Royal Family made the puddings themselves.
They are made to a unique recipe from The Queen’s chef.

Carole said: “I am not going to eat it.
“I don’t know what I will do with it.
“There is enough for four people but I am on my own.”
She added: “It was lovely to see The Queen and the three future kings all baking together.”

Carole said she will probably keep the pudding for some time.
About Carole’s volunteer work she said: “I have always been involved in volunteering.
“I joined the Brownies as a young girl.”
