Eugenie and her husband Jack Brooksbank, who she wed in 2018, announced they were expecting a baby in September. The news sent shockwaves through royal fans, as many wondered what the Queen’s granddaughter will be like as a mother.
Speaking to People, a friend of the royal couple revealed Eugenie is poised to become a “bohemian” parent, while Mr Brooksbank will be “calm”.
The source said: “Eugenie is such a fun person but very thoughtful too.
“I think she will be more of a bohemian parent, a bit like her mom, while Jack will be calm and chilled.”
The remarks come after a family friend revealed the couple do not want their firstborn to have a title.
The source told Vanity Fair that Princess Eugenie thinks a royal title can be “a curse”.
They said: “Even if the Queen offered them a title as a gift, it’s not Eugenie or Jack’s desire for their child to have a title.
“Eugenie knows that a title can be a curse as well as a blessing and she and Jack want their child to live an ordinary life and eventually work to earn a living.
“Titles really don’t matter to Jack and Eugenie, they just want a happy healthy child.”
During the emotional moment Eugenie was almost moved to tears while speaking of her mother, who joined the charity three decades ago.
Eugenie said: “We’re very honoured to be here, but we wouldn’t be here unless you had educated us in how we give back to people.”
She then tried to contain the tears and added: “I’m going to cry. Stop it.
“Thank you for everything you’ve done, and that you do for the charity, and for us.”
