Royal Family members like everyone else must adhere to a new set of rules for their behaviour and conduct during royal engagements. Royals are as susceptible to falling victim to the coronavirus infection which is raging around the globe as much as anyone else. So far coronavirus has spread to 704 regions around the world infecting more than 24 million people. But how did one royal couple come to breach official rules?
King Willem-Alexander and Queen Maxima of the Netherlands issued an apology on Twitter after breaching social distancing guidelines while on holiday.
An image of the couple was shared on social media showing them standing close to a member of staff at a restaurant they visited while holidaying in Milos, Greece.
The image sparked outrage from social media users who condemned the couple for their lack of social distancing.
In the Netherlands, the current guidance in regards to social distancing is that those from separate households stay at least 1.5 metres apart.
In Greece, there have been a total of 8,987 cases thus far, of which 243 have died.
You must wear a face mask at all times on planes or ferry travelling to or from Greece and while in airports.
It is mandatory to wear maks on public transport and in lifts, supermarkets, cafes, banks, Government offices, retail shops, barbershops, hairdressers and related establishments.
The Greek authorities are likely to impose local coronavirus-related restrictions in certain areas if they perceive a heightened case-rate or other valid reason.

Princess Mary’s Instagram post featured two images of her wearing face masks.
The caption translated from Danish reads: “On land, at sea and in the air – we have to get used to wearing sanitary napkins.
“It is important that we follow the health authorities’ recommendations together.
“Yesterday I was in Grenaa for my first official visit after the summer holidays.
“At sea and in the air it went fine, but on land it slipped for me and I, unfortunately, came to shake hands.
“It reminded me how important it is that we help each other live up to the recommendations.
“Take care of yourself, and take care of each other.”
