While Princess Anne is the Queen, 94, and Prince Philip’s second eldest child, at the time of her birth royal daughters forfeited their place in the line of succession to any brothers they might have.
So Anne was leap-frogged in the line of succession by her younger brothers Prince Andrew, 60, and Prince Edward, 56, and their children – Princess Beatrice, 32, Princess Eugenie, 30, Lady Louise Windsor, 17, and James, Viscount Severn.
Anne chose to raise her children Zara and Peter Phillips, 42, without royal titles but they kept positions in the line of succession nonetheless.
