Meghan said she chose to speak out about her loss because miscarriage was still a taboo subject which led to a “cycle of solitary mourning”.
In the moving piece, the Duchess spoke about the importance of sharing pain, saying “together we can take the first steps towards healing”.
Meghan is not the first Royal Family member to speak out about pregnancy loss.
The Duchess followed in the footsteps of Prince Harry’s cousin and the Queen’s eldest granddaughter Zara Tindall, 39, who spoke out about the two miscarriages she and husband Mike Tindall experienced before having their second daughter Lena.
