Punch Through Hunger – UK Martial Artists unite to raise money for foodbanks
PoliticMag Press Release : December 09, 2020
NEST Management Ltd are a Business Consultancy Company that work exclusively in the Martial Arts Industry. Although the fight as been difficult for their industry during lockdown, this Christmas they have decided to fight for a good cause and attempt to PUNCH THROUGH HUNGER! Here’s what they have in store:
This year has been one hell of a fight for our Martial Arts industry. We would never have thought back in March that we’d still be fighting this close to Christmas! However, together with our Clients we have continued to adapt to the circumstances and allow Martial Arts students to continue their journeys throughout the whole of lockdown.
As we draw closer to Christmas, it has made us realise how fortunate we have been to have had the opportunity to fight for our survival when thousands of people across the country have not. We feel that now more than ever, we would really like to help those less fortunate than ourselves who are not financially able to feed themselves or their families. And we are asking our Martial Arts community to help us…
This December instead of sending out Christmas cards we will be working with Trussle Trust Charity who are the UK’s largest network of food banks. We would like our Martial Arts community to raise as much money as possible to help Trussle Trust and to do this, we’re asking our Clients and their students to work together to collectively contribute ONE MILLION PUNCHES. Impossible you say….nothing is impossible for Martial Artists!
So how will we, as an industry, reach 1 million punches?
When?
The challenge will start on Wednesday 16th December at 9 am and finish at 9pm. Instructors and Students will be able to contribute their punches anytime between those hours. NEST Management will start the day off at 9am sharp where the Director Gerard Turvey will contribute the first 100 punches!
How?
Participants can do those punches either in class or virtually, but someone else has to watch them do the punches and then submit the scores. They can do punches for as little or as long as they like.
Log your Punches
Log your punches on the public page on the NEST website – https://www.nestmanagement.co.uk/2020/11/30/punch-through-hunger/ – please only submit official punches you are happy to add to the total. This is a public page, so we’re working on the honesty system here!
