What makes Very Important Journal unique?
This journal is an excellent tool to preserve childhood memories. It encourages gratitude, a positive
attitude, and a problem-solving mindset. It helps build confidence and self-esteem and the development of strong communication skills. The journal is a place to be creative and stimulates the imaginative minds of kids. The inspiring quotes, the quote sources, the explanation of difficult professions and words give the journal extra educational value.
Who created Very Important Journal and why?
Very Important Journal is created by Kim van Dorst. “As a social worker, I’ve worked for years with children. During this time, I developed a fun, playful way to connect with children and to let them express their thoughts, feelings, and opinions. It was a way to let them open up what they need in life to be happy, but also to stimulate them to come up with solutions for difficulties and problems by themselves. I started to think that a journal, based on my way of connecting and helping children, would be helpful to every parent or caretaker. A journal like this would be of great benefit in a child’s life. With determination, passion for creating, and a lot of hard work, I created Very Important Journal.”
Happiness research
According to studies, there is a strong correlation between gratitude and happiness. Grateful people are more optimistic, deal better with life difficulties, build strong relationships, have health benefits, and enjoy life more. So why not start with gratitude at an early age? A way to practice gratitude is to keep a journal. Very Important Journal helps kids to process their day and to find the positive things in life.
