Holly Willoughby and Phil Schofield are back on This Morning after summer – and have introduced the 1m social distancing stick to viewers.
Holly Willoughby, 40, has returned from her summer holiday – and so has silver haired Schofe.
From 10am on Monday, the pair were back at the helm of the daytime TV favourite, which airs each Monday to Friday on ITV 1 and also on the ITV Hub.
Phil said: “This is the, this is the two metre stick that helped keep us safe for the last year and a half.
“Look – it is even wearing off – the This Morning logo has worn off.”
Holly said: “You can see how much we have had to use it!”
He added: “We are sort of just making up rules as we go here.”
“Well goodbye to the two metre stick – and hello to the one metre stick!” said Holly.
She added: “We are so close and yet we are also so far.”

Phil said: “It seemed like a good idea.”
“I can’t lick you,” said Holly.
“You still can’t lick me!” said Phil.
He then asked: “How long is your tongue?”
When Holly replied that it certainly wasn’t “long enough,” Phil commented: “By 2024 I may be lick-able.”
ITV This Morning continues to air each and every weekday from Monday to Friday from 10am onwards, with episodes on ITV1 and also on the ITV Hub.
